Welcome to Ahmedabad, you will be met by our team member at the exit gate of the airport. Once you are in the car, you will first head to the hotel for a smooth check in and freshening up. Among the places of interest is Kochrab, Ashram, which was Gandhi’s first Ashram set up in the year 1915.
(Road Trip of 150 km, covered in 3 hours) Post breakfast, you will head to Patan. On the way, you will go see the Rani ki vav or the Queen’s stepwell. This richly sculptured monument was built by Udaymati in memory of her husband Bhima I (1022 – 1063).
(Road trip – 120 km, covered in 2 hours) Post breakfast, you will be checked out and on your way to Vadodara. In Vadodara, you will be checked in and after you freshen up, you will be taken to visit the lovely Laxmi Vilas Palace, an exemplary example of Indo-Saracenic tradition. Inside the palace grounds is Sayajirao’s personal museum.
Once you are done with breakfast, you will be taken to see the remaining gems of Vadodara. The M.S. University, being one of the attractions.
(Road trip – 150 km, covered in 3 hours) After breakfast, you will be checked out and on your way to Surat, the second largest city of Gujarat and a major industrial hub for India. The city finds mention in the Mahabharata, then in the 13th century, it was known as Suryapur. In the 16th century, it became a prominent port for the European traders.
After breakfast, you will head back into town for more sightseeing, visit the closer Daman and the gorgeous Hajira beach, and spend the day frolicking by the seaside, while taking a chance with the local street food being sold there. In the evening, you can enjoy the local festivity with the people in the festive mood. After that, you will head back to the hotel for a restful sleep.
Once you are done with breakfast, you will head to Ahmedabad to take your train or plane back home.
